Jelenia Gora is an old, pretty small city situated in Jelenia Gora Valley in South Western Poland. (The Polish words Jelenia Gora mean Deer Mountain) The city is surrounded by beautiful Karkonosze Mountains with its highest peak Sniezka (1603 m) (Which could be translated as “Snowy”). There are four rivers flowing through Jelenia Gora. The city, which is poetically referred to as The Pearl of Karkonosze, serves as the main centre for tourists coming to the Jelenia Gora Valley and the nearby mountain resorts.
Jelenia Gora’s diversity lies in the scenery, the beauty of Karkonosze National Park, the presence of various historical castles and special architecture, which attracts a lot of tourists from the whole country as well as from abroad.
Cieplice, which is a part of Jelenia Gora, is a well-known and unique Polish Spa. It is renowned for its thermal springs, which are utilised in various therapeutical spa treatments.
